NSI has over 30 years of experience manufacturing digital industrial 2D X-ray and 3D computed tomography (CT) systems and software solutions for testing and evaluating products and materials for quality inspection.

Typical inspection services include internal measurements, 3D CAD comparisons, void and/or porosity analysis, surface reconstructions for reverse engineering, finite element analysis and failure analysis.

NSI was acquired by ITW in 2010 and has since gained even more strength and doubled the size of its facility in Minnesota (USA) and added other sites – in Paris (France) in 2012, UK and California (USA) in 2015 and in 2016 in Suzhou (China).

Building world class industrial digital X-ray & Computed Tomography Systems

NSI offers eight (8) standard X-ray and CT/micro CT systems including the just released X3000 which has a small footprint but has the capabilities of larger X-ray systems.

Released in 2017

The new X3000 system. Capabilities include:

  • Geometric Magnification of >2000x
  • Overall maximum system resolution of <500 nm
  • X-ray source voltage range of 10Kv to 225 kV
  • Nominal part envelope of 19.5 in. (50 cm) x 24 in. (61 cm)

NSI’s new precision robotiX technology for high speed automatic part loading and unloading. Autonomous operation allows for reduced cycle time and increases productivity. robotiX can be combined with the X25, X50, X3000, X5000 and X7000.
