James Webb Space Telescope cryogenic testing time lapse

With its nine-month stay in Texas coming to an end, this time-lapse shows activity in the NASA Johnson Space Center's Chamber A cleanroom from the arrival of the Webb Telescope's optical and instrument segment through to its roll out from the chamber after completing its cryogenic testing.

Boeing tests large cargo drone

Johanson - Applications Engineer

Are you an engineer who understands power electronics design?  Do you know the electronic component marketplace?

The successful applications engineer will provide technical support to the outside sales team, customers, and internal staff. In this role you will build customer relations at a technical level to gain further insight to direction and needs of the customer.

During customer visits, you are expected to achieve design-ins, identify needs for new products, and be alert to competitive products. While interacting with customers you will present technical advantages and solutions for integrating Johanson products and assist customers on troubleshooting circuits, and ensure speedy and thorough resolution of problems.

You will provide internal and external training, guidance on implementation of Johanson products to Johanson personnel and to its sales team.
 
The selected candidate will be experienced in design, application and technical support of power electronic products, and meet the following requirements:

• DC to DC power supply design experience required.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in design engineering or applications engineering.
• BSEE from an accredited school required.
• Circuit board layout knowledge.
• Experience with vector network analyzers and automated test programming.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analysis and problem solving skills.
• Ability to travel 35% – domestic and potentially international.
