A330neo first flight

Watch te first A330neo make its maiden flight over south-western France. The aircraft took off at 9:57am local time on 19 October from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport and was powered by state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 turbofans.

Valor begins ground-constrained testing

The Bell V280 Valor prototype aircraft has successfully begun its restrained ground run test operations. The aircraft will continue ground run testing at the Bell Helicopter Amarillo Assembly Center in Texas where it will undergo a series of functional tests running all aircraft systems and flight.

Flight Test and Trials professionals – UK/EU – Nova Systems

Responsibilities
Due to expansion in its UK-based business Nova Systems has permanent opportunities for Flight Test Professionals to join its European Operations unit. The successful candidate will work in both the UK and Northern Europe on-site with clients participating in/managing Flight Test and Evaluation and Trials activities alongside broader aerospace systems consultant activities on both rotary and fixed wing aircraft.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential
• UK Citizen (mandatory);
• UK MOD-recognized long-course Flight Test or Aero-systems qualification;
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Defence T&E practitioner;
• UK Government Security Clearance.

Desirable
• Degree qualified but will consider other qualifications;
• Graduate of any test pilot school or MOD Aero-systems Course;
• Experience with rotary wing, fast jet or heavy aircraft flight test;
• Complex mission system testing.

Regarded Professions

• Flight Trials Officer;
• Flight Test Pilot;

• Self-motivated and able to operate with a degree of autonomy;
• Project Management & Problem Solving Skills;
