Toulouse, France

Element has an opportunity for an Engineer to join its growing team in Toulouse. In this role you will be responsible for the overall technical capability of the mechanical lab operation.

• Health and Safety in the testing areas
• Daily solution of mechanical lab technical and operational issues
• Providing technical expertise in mechanical (tensiles, impact, hardness) testing
• Daily maintenance of test frames availability
• Adherence to quality standards in the testing areas
• Maintenance and Calibration of equipment in the testing area
• Testing and reporting of non-standard specimens and/or standard specimens
• Training and validating of operators
• Validation of certificates
• Technical check of quotations (including communication with clients)
• Responsibility over technical capability of the mechanical lab operation
• Manage Health and Safety in the testing areas
• Work with sales team on quotation, namely on defining technical scope of the quotes

Skills & Qualifications
• A broad knowledge of engineering materials
• An understanding of the principal metallurgical theories and principles
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety systems and environmental regulations
• An understanding of relevant testing standards
• Knowledge of relevant quality systems
• Significant experience of working in an engineering workshop and/or laboratory environment
• Previous technical experience is an advantage
