Fort Worth, Texas-based Aeroblaze Laboratory showcased its new virtual reality (VR) fire testing expertise at last week’s Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), in Hamburg, Germany.
Visitors at the expo were able to witness a Seat Cushion (Fireblock) oil burn test as if they were in the same room. Andrew Feghali, CEO of Aeroblaze, said, “Many of our customers order this test regularly, but few have actually watched one of these tests performed.”
Aeroblaze is also providing new customers who signed up at the show with a free pocket-size VR headset to take home. This VR experience helped promote the launch of Aeroblaze’s new service: VR videos of customers’ own tests.
“This is the first step to offering real-time virtual reality test witnessing for our customers,” explained Feghali.
“Instead of paying thousands to fly to our lab and witness testing, customers will be able to see everything from their desk. We even provide them with the headset.”
