The Houston laboratory of Exova, the global testing, calibration and advisory services provider, has been approved by Boeing to conduct specialist metals testing for its global supply chain.
The approval enables Exova to support testing for Boeing’s suppliers in both the commercial and military sectors. The laboratory is approved to conduct chemistry testing for hydrogen, room temperature tensile testing, metallography and hardness testing for all metallic components for airframes.
Bobby Archibald, vice president of Exova, Americas, said, “Gaining Boeing approval underlines our commitment to being at the forefront of technically demanding testing services in the aerospace sector.
“We are now well placed to support Boeing’s aerospace supply chain across the Americas, helping them to advance materials and ensure the highest standards of quality and production.”
The Houston laboratory joins Exova’s Santa Fe Springs (California), Glendale Heights (Illinois) and Mississauga (Ontario, Canada) laboratories holding Boeing approval.
