The Aerospace and Composites Groups of the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) will hold their biennial Aerospace Event, this year on April 25-26, 2017, at TWI Ltd, in Cambridge, in the UK.
BINDT 2017 is a two-day conference focusing on ‘Joining technologies and the challenges they present to the inspection community’. The first day will be hosted by the Aerospace Group and will focus mainly on metallic technologies, such as friction stir welding, the advantages it offers over conventional welding, and the challenges it presents for inspection of the resultant product.
The second day will be hosted by the Composites Group and will focus on the non-metallic composite materials used in the aerospace, automotive, marine, civil and pipeline engineering sectors for primary production as well as retrospective repairs and upgrades.
Registration for the first day includes attendance at the one-day aerospace exhibition, featuring technologies and products for the inspection of jointed or bonded assemblies, and a tour of the new TWI facilities in Cambridge.
Visit www.bindt.org for more information about this event and to register.
