BAA Training in Spain has upgraded another full flight simulator with the recent Airbus Std. 2.0, Airbus A320ceo/neo.
The upgraded full flight simulator (FFS) has passed final acceptance tests and initial evaluation and has been declared “Ready For Training” at the company’s facility in Barcelona, Spain.
The Level-D full-scope flight compartment replica is equipped with two ceo and two neo engine types and was manufactured by L3Harris Technologies.
Aurimas Urbonas, managing director at BAA Training Spain said, “With the Airbus A320ceo/neo FFS at our training centre, we are set to meet the future demand of the aviation sector which is ramping up activity.
“We aim to deliver the most comprehensive flight training in the industry while staying flexible and providing tailored services to accommodate the industry demand.”
The Barcelona facility also has an Airbus A320ceo, Boeing 737 MAX FFSs and a A320 FTD (flight training device) Level 2 simulator. The centre trains commercial airline pilos and individual self-sponsored pilots.
The A320ceo/neo simulator is equipped with Rsi latest version Image Generator (XT5), NORXE P1 LED visual projectors 200x 45 Field of View and a Synergistic Six Degree of Freedom eM2k Electro-Hydraulic Motion System.
Other features of the simulator include upset recovery capabilities, Full stall training and icing conditions, Cat C airfields simulation, Smoke system, RNP [LNAV, LNAV/VNAV, AR] APCH.
BAA Training Spain is set to receive more equipment later this year including a Boeing 737 MAX FTD. The A320 FTD that became “Ready For Training” two months ago guarantees more attractive training prices for customers when it replaces the FFS to complete Multi-Crew Cooperation, Jet Orientation Course and other training.
