Delta Information Systems has completed the acquisition of Telemetry and Communications Systems.
Chatsworth, California-based Telemetry and Communication Systems (TCS) designs and makes tracking antenna systems for the telemetry, communications, and intelligence marketplace around the world. The antennas range in size from 16in (40cm) to over 23ft (7m).
TCS will be positioned in Delta’s Telemetry Systems (DTS) group of companies. This includes GDP Space Systems, which supplies telemetry receivers, best source selectors, TMoIP, data distribution, conversion and test products; Acroamatics, which supplier telemetry data decommutation, processing and display products, and Wideband Systems, which supplies data recorders.
Delta Information Systems (DIS) acquired Wideband Systems in August 2021.
DIS said the business areas support common markets and customers, allowing the group to provide integrated solutions for larger requirements and that the acquisition is an important part of its strategy to provide end-to-end solutions and components to the ground telemetry market.
TCS will continue to operate under its own name as a wholly owned subsidiary of DIS in Chatsworth, California with no interruption in its provision of products and services to new and existing customers.
Gary Thom, DIS President said, “We are very excited about the latest addition to our growing family of companies. TCS is a world-class leader in tracking antenna systems. We look forward to this acquisition helping us to expand our best-of-breed solutions for our Aerospace and Defense customers.”
Michel Roy, president of Telemetry and Communications Systems will remain with the company. He said, “We are very pleased that this acquisition will preserve the culture and values of our company and continue to provide our customers with outstanding products, service and support for years to come.”
DIS’s other business units consist of Ampex Data Systems Corp: supplier of airborne solid-state mission and flight test recorders and Delta Digital Video: supplier of airborne and ground-based video compression, decompression and scan conversions products.
