Unexploded munitions and the terrain made extinguishing the recent forest fire in Älvdalen’s shooting range in Sweden so difficult that the Swedish Air Force tested dropping bombs on it. This video shows a JAS 39 Gripen deploying a GBU-49 Paveway bomb against a fire. The results are being evaluated.
